Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a General Maintenance Worker Apprentice in Beaufort, SC. This full-time role involves maintaining equipment, promoting safety, and supporting a healthy work environment. You will perform various maintenance tasks and support site needs as part of a larger facilities team.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in carpentry, plumbing, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.
• Replace light bulbs, install paper dispenser units, change filters, lock doors, minor decorative maintenance.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time with reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned based on account needs and client requirements.

General Maintenance Worker Apprentice

Workdays/shifts

Varying shifts, days/hours (open availability preferred). More details will be provided during the interview process.

Full-time

Pay Range:

$8.00 per hour - $34.40 per hour

What You’ll Do:

As a General Maintenance Worker Apprentice at Sodexo, you are a problem-solver and safety promoter. By maintaining equipment for optimal performance and keeping work areas and others safe, your actions have meaningful impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting and plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations, or vehicle servicing.

• Performs tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, changing locks on doors, minor decorative maintenance and other tasks not requiring a licensed skilled trades person or journeyman

• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity

• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

What You Bring:

• Successful candidates will be team-oriented, adaptable, reliable, and nurturers of a healthy/safe working environment for all.

• 1 or more years of related experience preferred.

• Holds appropriate license/certification for the specific work to be done in the city and state in which the work will be done.

• Additional Requirements: Possess a valid driver’s license
