Join us as a General Maintenance Worker at The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women with social and spiritual challenges. Our in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities, offering a clean and healthy environment, nutritious food, work therapy, leisure activities, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Our mission is to develop life skills and foster a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Every team member contributes to recycling goods that help repair broken lives.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preventative maintenance of buildings, fixtures, and equipment under supervision.
• Perform minor repairs as assigned.
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including prep work and repairs.
• Exterminate pests in center buildings as needed.
• Shovel snow and perform lawn and garden maintenance.
• Patch and stripe parking lots as assigned.
• Support the work therapy program by demonstrating professional conduct and work habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record.
• Ability to follow directions.
