Job summary

PRIDE Industries in the United States is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings across our facilities, applying skills in painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and safety.

Under supervision, you will replace components, patch walls, paint, fix sinks and doors, and support travel between facilities. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required; prior maintenance experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience in general building maintenance or demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools and knowledge of trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Use and maintenance of own tools may be required.
• Ability to manage material resources and time and work safely.
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks; strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
• Patching minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings with plaster or compound.
• Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
• Painting structures and equipment.
• Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
• Hanging doors and installing door locks.
• Replacing broken window panes.
• Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
