Job Description

Maintenance Technician II to support the Tennessee Region in Nashville.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair organization’s facilities and properties involving routine tasks and responsibilities. Paint structures and equipment as needed. Install and correct minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems. Document installation and repairs as required by regulatory agencies. Operate and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related mechanical equipment. Repair appliances and equipment.
  • Move and store furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Estimate time and material costs of various projects. Requisition new supplies and equipment.
  • Perform grounds and exterior maintenance such as tending flowerbeds, pruning shrubs and trees, watering lawns, and applying fertilizer and insecticides. Maintain drainage and sanitation for outdoor areas.
  • Drive vehicle to other locations as needed.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: High School or equivalent required. May require a trade license.
  • Experience: 1 year of related experience preferred. Related experience includes painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.
  • Skills & Abilities: Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record may be required. Basic writing and communication skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work on a team. May have on-call duties. Travel: May drive to other locations.
Physical Requirements

Regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Regularly lift and move objects 10–50 lbs; may lift more with assistance or powered equipment. Push carts up to 250 pounds. Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; may sit or climb. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus. May climb ladders for top-level access.
