Job description

Our company is looking for a detail-oriented, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician to join our Nashville team. Our company specializes in boilers and boiler-related equipment, with offices in Georgia and Tennessee. In this role, you’ll perform annual inspections and monthly maintenance visits at customer sites to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform annual boiler inspections and conduct routine monthly maintenance visits.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Work effectively in varying environments, including hot, cold, dusty, confined, and elevated spaces.
  • Identify and report equipment issues or concerns during site visits.
  • Accurately complete and submit required job documentation, including detailed notes, time logs, and photo records.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Skilled in identifying and using hand tools, power tools, and multimeters.
  • Comfortable working in demanding environments (extreme temperatures, confined areas, heights).
  • Prior experience with industrial steam boilers, hydronic boilers, or HVAC systems preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems up to 480V is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established procedures.
  • Basic computer skills; knowledge of computer-operated boiler controls is beneficial but not mandatory.
Physical & Personal Job Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs from floor to waist and overhead.
  • Capable of safely climbing and working from ladders, forklifts, and scissor lifts.
  • Able to stand and remain active for 6+ hours per day.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of conditions, including hot and cold environments.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
  • Organized, efficient, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Able to work independently with consistent, reliable attendance.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
