Job summary

The American Red Cross in Nashville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support our Tennessee Region. Under close supervision, you will perform repairs and routine maintenance on facilities, machinery and equipment.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of related experience in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing or electrical trades, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, use hand/power tools, and work well in a team. Competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required; trade license may be needed.
• 1 year of related experience preferred in trades like painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical.
• Valid driver's license and ability to perform lifting and manual tasks.
• Basic writing and communication skills; ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and properties with routine tasks.
• Paint structures and equipment as needed.
• Install and repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural issues.
• Document installations and repairs per regulatory requirements.
• Operate boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps and related equipment.
• Move furniture/equipment and assist with safety procedures.
