Full job description

The General Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining each assigned property from the curb in. This includes performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration, cooking, and restaurant facility equipment, as well as IT services, according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform diversified duties to install and maintain kitchen and refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain or replace HVAC units and electrical systems.
• Perform general facilities repairs, upgrades, and maintenance related to plumbing, exhaust fans, landscaping, lighting, signage, exterior cleanliness, etc.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Utilize IT skills including installation of PULSE, network drops, phone system maintenance, and computer repair.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust as needed.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and restaurant facilities.
• Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
• Coordinate and direct maintenance of company vehicles.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
• Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and report issues to supervision.
• Assist with fire prevention by checking fire suppression systems and extinguisher certification dates, reporting needed services.
• Operate company vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records and receipts for purchases, repairs, and service requests.
• Comply with safety regulations and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly assignments, inspections, and reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
