Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a General Maintenance Technician for our Nashville hotels. You will support the engineering team by maintaining the property's appearance, functionality, and safety to meet brand and guest standards.

Responsibilities include performing carpentry, plumbing, and painting, using hand and power tools, and assisting the Chief Engineer in daily operations. A minimum of one year of maintenance experience is required, with a willingness to develop in related trades.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally, and stand/move for long periods.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.

What You’ll Do

• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
