Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet company standards.

The role involves performing general maintenance tasks in carpentry, plumbing, and painting, while ensuring all work is done safely and efficiently with proper communication to supervisors.

Qualifications

• General maintenance duties including carpentry, plumbing, painting.
• Basic maintenance knowledge and desire to develop in trades such as electrical or carpentry.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand/move for long periods.
• At least 1 year maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel maintenance standards.
• Assist Chief Engineer in overseeing Engineering operations.
• Clean engineering areas and maintain safety and efficiency.
• Complete tasks safely and report needs to supervisors.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signage for proper operation.

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance, lock out tag out procedures, along with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
