Job summary

White Lodging is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

You will perform general maintenance tasks across carpentry, plumbing, and painting, operate hand and power tools, and assist in overseeing engineering operations to keep the property in top condition for guests and associates.

Qualifications

• Carpentry, plumbing and painting duties; operate hand and power tools.
• General maintenance knowledge; desire to develop in electrical or carpentry trade areas.
• Lift up to 10 lbs regularly and 25 lbs occasionally; stand/move for long periods.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Meet WL, Brand, and Guest maintenance standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function.
• Clean engineering areas to maintain effective operations.
• Complete work safely and professionally; communicate needs to supervisors.

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will support the hotel’s engineering team in maintaining the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety to meet White Lodging, Brand, and Guest standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
