Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. operates a portfolio of premium-brand hotels and restaurants. As a General Maintenance Technician, you will assist the hotel’s engineering team to maintain the property’s appearance, functionality, and safety in line with WL and guest standards.

You will perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks, use hand and power tools, and support the Chief Engineer. The role requires physical work and a commitment to safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the hotel’s maintenance and upkeep standards meet WL, Brand, and Guest standards.
• Support the Chief Engineer in overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Engineering function of the hotel.
• Clean all engineering areas as directed, working in a neat and efficient manner to help maintain effective operations.
• Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner while maintaining communication with supervisors regarding tools, supplies, and materials.
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation and maintain an adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• Ability to perform general carpentry, plumbing, and painting duties and operate hand and power tools.
• Basic working knowledge of general maintenance with a desire to continue developing in a trade area (e.g., electrical, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. occasionally, and ability to stand and move for long periods of time.
• At least one year of maintenance experience required.
