Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a Maintenance Technician in McArthur, Ohio to work closely with maintenance management, operations, and plant engineers. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor based in McArthur, OH.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, executing preventative maintenance, and installing equipment and sensors. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2+ years’ maintenance experience, with explosive manufacturing experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years previous maintenance experience.
• Experience in explosive manufacture preferred.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician works closely with maintenance management, operations, and plant engineers. The position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor located in McArthur, Ohio.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues with process equipment.

• Conduct preventative maintenance work orders.

• Disassemble/install new equipment, sensors, machines, etc.

• Perform tasks such as parts replacements, cleaning, etc.

• Inspect equipment and systems for stability and quality.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years previous maintenance experience

• Experience in explosive manufacture preferred

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Possess an understanding of electrical systems and be able to read and understand wiring diagrams.

• Possess an understanding of mechanical systems and be able to read and understand detail and process & instrumentation drawings.

• Possess an understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

• Effective problem-solving abilities.

• Understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

• Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labor-intensive tasks.

Work Environment

This position requires no travel. Time will be spent in all areas of the

plant, both indoors and outdoors, in all-weather elements.
