Job summary

Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR seeks a General Maintenance Mechanic for the Facilities department. This full-time, days position maintains and repairs hospital facilities and equipment, troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems, and ensures safety compliance.

The role requires a HS diploma, 3 years of building maintenance, and ability to work independently or in a team. Preferred experience with carpentry, electricity, HVAC, and knowledge of OSHA and Joint Commission

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance and repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently

• Preferred: basic carpentry, electrical, and HVAC experience

What You Should Know About theGeneral Maintenance Mechanic:

• Monday- Friday: Typical hours 7:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
• This position will rotate working Saturdays.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Facilities Department

Job Summary:

The Hospital General Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hospital's facilities and equipment. Duties include performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and fixing mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, and responding promptly to maintenance requests. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

General Maintenance Mechanic Qualifications:
