Jefferson Regional Main Hospital in Pine Bluff, AR seeks a General Maintenance Mechanic for the Facilities department. The role maintains and repairs hospital facilities and equipment, troubleshoots mechanical and electrical systems, and ensures safety compliance. The position is safety sensitive and requires vigilance, communication, and teamwork.

Typical hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with Saturday rotations.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• This is a safety sensitive position.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance and repairs
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly and efficiently
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Good communication, customer service, and documentation skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• General experience with basic carpentry, electricity, and HVAC equipment preferred
• Prior experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, such as OSHA, Joint Commission, and other relevant bodies
• Knowledge and practice of safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

What You Should Know About theGeneral Maintenance Mechanic:

• Monday- Friday: Typical hours 7:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
• This position will rotate working Saturdays.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Facilities Department

Job Summary:

The Hospital General Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining and repairing the hospital's facilities and equipment. Duties include performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and fixing mechanical and electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations, and responding promptly to maintenance requests. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
