Job summary

Intensive Specialty Hospital is seeking a General Maintenance technician to ensure safe and efficient repairs to the physical plant at our Shreveport/Bossier City campuses. Responsibilities include building/equipment maintenance, electrical installations, and non-clinical equipment repairs.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, 2+ years of experience, plumbing/construction knowledge, and strong English communication skills. Position supports core LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Experience in basic plumbing and construction, and a working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and efficient repairs to the physical plant.
• Maintains and repairs the building and equipment through work requests and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Performs electric current installations assuring compliance with state and national electrical codes.
• Maintains hospital electrical systems in good working order.
• Assembles and repairs non-clinical hospital equipment, basic plumbing, kitchen equipment, and heating and air conditioning equipment and fixtures.

Intensive Specialty Hospital is a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. We provide cardiopulmonary care, ventilator and respiratory care, complex wound care, rehabilitation therapies, addiction medicine program, geriatric psychiatry program, multidisciplinary pain program, and outpatient counseling program.
