Job summary

Intensive Specialty Hospital is seeking a General Maintenance technician to ensure the safe and efficient repair of its facilities. The role covers building and equipment upkeep, electrical work, and routine maintenance across non-clinical hospital areas.

Responsibilities include following electrical codes, maintaining systems, and handling basic plumbing and HVAC tasks to support aPatient care environment at the Shreveport and Bossier City campuses.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Experience in basic plumbing and construction, and a working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English, as well as possess good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the building and equipment through work requests and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform electric current installations assuring compliance with state and national electrical codes.
• Maintain hospital electrical systems in good working order.
• Assemble and repair non-clinical hospital equipment, basic plumbing, kitchen equipment, and heating and air conditioning equipment and fixtures.
