Position Summary
Perform general maintenance and repair of district facilities, including building structures and related mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and sanitary systems. Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address repair issues in a timely manner.
Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. Support grounds maintenance activities, including upkeep of walkways, play areas, athletic fields, and landscaped areas. Maintain tools and equipment in safe working conditions and follow all Boerne ISD safety procedures.

Tools/Equipment Used: Small hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and other maintenance related equipment. Standard office equipment, including personal computers and peripherals.
Posture: Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, knelling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting; work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
Motion: Repetitive hand motions, including grasping, squeezing, overhead reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, scaffolding, occasional keyboarding/use of mouse, frequent driving.
Lifting: Heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over) daily.
Environment: Work outside and inside, on slippery or uneven walking surfaces; may work on rooftops; frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals and materials, noise, vibration, and electrical hazards; work around machinery with moving parts; may work in tight or enclosed spaces; may work alone; may work irregular and prolonged hours; frequent districtwide travel.
Travel: Requires driving district vehicle between district sites and facilities.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; work with frequent deadlines; maintain emotional control under stress.
