Job summary

Fargo Glass & Paint Co seeks an Outside Sales Representative based in Fargo, ND to service Western ND, Eastern MT, and Northwestern SD while supporting dealer partners and contractors. You will sell flooring, paint, window coverings, cabinets, and sundry items, building strong relationships in a multi-state territory.

You will travel to meet dealers, contractors, and architects, present solutions, and prepare quotes while maintaining regular activity reports and a strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the company.

Responsibilities

• Call on existing dealer base to sell products, present new products, offer solutions and resolve dealer partners’ problems.
• Grow sales revenue and profits by reviewing market and initiating actions.
• Train dealer partners on products, quoting tools, and company policies.
• Call on building contractors and architects to identify requirements and drive product usage.
• Prepare quotes using electronic pricing tools and systems.
• Lead contractor and dealer meetings and perform product demonstrations.
• Submit weekly itineraries and call reports to leadership.
• Maintain a consistent call schedule with dealer partners.

Join Fargo Glass & Paint as an Outside Sales Representative & become an Employee Owner!

This position will be based out of our Fargo, ND office but will service the territories in the Western ND, Eastern MT, and Northwestern SD areas. We are looking for candidates that live near Bismarck, Minot, Williston, or Dickinson.

Summary:

Sell, service and offer the right solutions to new and existing accounts in our targeted marketing area for the following products: flooring, paint, window coverings, cabinets, and sundry items.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Call on existing dealer base to sell products, present new products, offer product solutions and resolve dealer partners’ problems and concerns.
• Constantly review market and initiate actions and activities to grow sales revenue and profits.
• Train and educate our dealer partners on FGP products, quoting tools, company policies, etc.
• Call on building contractors and architects in assigned territory to identify architect requirements and seek solutions that encourage use of FGP products.
• Prepare quotes based on our dealer partners’ needs using electronic pricing tools and software systems.
• Set-up and lead contractor and dealer meetings
• Perform product demonstration and presentations for groups of dealers, contractors, architects and/or homeowners.
• Prepare and submit weekly itinerary and call reports to the leadership team in a timely manner.
• Maintain a consistent call schedule for our dealer partners on a weekly and monthly basis as needed to be their best business partner.
• Maintain a strong and friendly relationship with FGP personnel.
• Inspect and perform minor service on products.
• Inspect and write-up material returns.
• Represent FGP at regional home shows and dealer shows as needed.
• Attend seminars, classes, and sales meetings at various locations.
• Maintain membership and activity in local builder and dealer associations.
• Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

The individual must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills as well as proven customer service. Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, negotiating, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks and interact with others in a professional manner. Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable by the company. Travel may be required and may entail out-of-the-area and overnight travel days.Working knowledge of computers and various computer programs

Education Requirements:

Position prefers an associate degree in business or related field, three to five years of experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
