Job summary

Law Firm in Atlanta, GA seeks an Associate Attorney or Senior Attorney with 2+ years of civil defense litigation to join its General Liability practice group. Handle your own caseload with full litigation responsibilities and a clear path to promotion from associate to senior associate, of counsel, and partner.

Responsibilities include managing a full caseload of general liability defense matters, drafting motions and discovery, defending depositions and hearings, and assisting with mediations

Qualifications

• Active Georgia bar license in good standing.
• 2-8 years of civil defense litigation experience (general liability, premises liability, bodily injury, or casualty defense).
• Defense-side experience required (plaintiff-side will not be considered).

• Managing a full caseload of general liability defense matters including premises liability, personal injury, and casualty defense.
• Drafting and responding to motions, complaints, and written discovery.
• Attending and defending depositions, court hearings, and client meetings.
• Assisting with preparation for mediations and trials.
• Billing approximately 1,950 hours annually with quarterly bonus opportunities.

About the Role

We are looking for an Associate Attorney as well as a Senior Level Attorney with 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience to join Law Firm's General Liability practice group in Atlanta, GA. This is an opportunity to handle your own caseload with full litigation responsibilities—not just motions work—with a clear path to promotion from associate to senior associate, of counsel, and partner.

• Attending and defending depositions, court hearings, and client meetings
• Assisting with preparation for mediations and trials
• Billing approximately 1,950 hours annually with quarterly bonus opportunities

Qualifications

• Ability to manage 25+ cases simultaneously and work independently

Pay range and compensation package

Base salary of $130K-$170K for Associate - depending on years of experience, plus quarterly bonuses based on billable hours (1.25%-4.25% of base salary). Senior Level compensation $170k - $250k. Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
