Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks a driven attorney to join our General Liability practice in Florida. Our team defends businesses and individuals across a wide range of torts, including premises and products liability, delivering practical, client-focused advocacy.

Responsibilities include taking and defending depositions, drafting dispositive motions, attending hearings and trials, conducting legal research, and preparing pleadings. Florida Bar licensure is required to practice in Florida.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
