Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks a driven attorney to join our General Liability practice in Florida. Our team defends businesses and individuals in a broad range of tort matters, from premises liability to products liability, and related litigation.

You will take depositions, draft dispositive motions, attend hearings and trials, perform legal research, prepare pleadings, and communicate with clients and experts.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Prior litigation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue dispositive motions
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients
