Job summary

Wilson Elser in Chicago is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to manage a litigation caseload from filing to resolution. You will collaborate with partners and other attorneys on complex matters and regularly appear in court and depositions.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an accredited law school, Illinois bar admission, and at least 3 years of general liability experience. Hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited Law School
• Admitted to practice in Illinois
• 3+ years of general liability, construction, trucking and transportation experience
• Superior written and oral communication skills
• Legal project management experience is helpful
• Trial experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
• Work closely with other attorneys and Partners on legal projects
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports
