Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to join a respected litigation team in Chicago. You will handle general liability, tort, and employment matters from inception through resolution, with a hybrid work environment that supports balance.

Applicants must be licensed in Illinois with at least 2 years of Illinois insurance defense experience and may bring a portable book of business. Hybrid schedule, autonomy in case management, and opportunities for professional growth are highlighted as key

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of general liability, insurance defense, tort, and employment litigation matters.
• Represent clients through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal counsel to clients.
• Conduct legal research and draft high-quality motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff to efficiently manage cases and deliver exceptional client service.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for continued growth.
