Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field with a minimum of three years related experience.

• Proficiency with general ledger, accounts payable/receivable.
• Experience with financial reporting and capital projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; basic accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with state and college accounting requirements.
• Pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts and subsidiary accounts to general ledger.
• Maintains the College's general ledger by posting, reviewing, and reconciling financial transactions.
• Process purchase orders and payment vouchers for capital projects through Ohio Controlling Board system.
• Generate and process charges, billing, and payments for College programs and services.
• Processes invoices, vouchers, encumbrances, requisitions, and other financial transactions.
• Prepare, enter, and maintain journal entries to record financial transactions and payroll activity.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable, foundation accounts, and other records to the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and state reports; assist with month-end closing.
• Maintain confidential financial records and support documentation.
