Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Daily Accounting

• Record daily banking transactions and cash activity accurately and timely
• Prepare and post monthly journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Prepare reconciliations for Accounts Receivable, including applying customer payments
• Prepare reconciliations for Accounts Payable, Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Liabilities, Reserves, Deferred Revenue, and other assigned balance sheet accounts
• Investigate reconciling items, determine root causes, and resolve discrepancies with appropriate support

Revenue Recognition

• Calculate and record deferred revenue and revenue recognition entries in accordance with company policy and U.S. GAAP

Month-End Close

• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting month-end deadlines

Audit Support

• Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing schedules and providing documentation requested by the Controller and external auditors

Financial Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Research accounting issues, analyze trends, improve processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen the Accounting function
• Support internal controls through accurate documentation, thoughtful review, and strong follow-through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Experience with journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and data analysis
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Professionalism, integrity, accountability, and sound judgment

Preferred Skills

• 2+ years of General Ledger accounting experience
• Experience using NetSuite ERP
• Experience supporting financial statement audits
• Strong curiosity and desire to understand the business behind the numbers
• Ability to research issues thoroughly and work collaboratively toward practical solutions
• Process improvement mindset with a focus on strengthening accounting practices and internal controls
