Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform balance sheet and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review account activity and research and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reporting.
• Manage accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other accounting schedules.
• Perform bank and cash reconciliations.
• Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations, as applicable.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Ensure accounting activities are completed in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
• Partner with AP, AR, finance, and operational teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve close procedures, reconciliations, and accounting processes.
• Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 1–4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to general ledger accounting.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, PivotTables, and lookup functions.
• Experience with an ERP or accounting system preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet month-end deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
