Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a General Laborer I to support the production team in a busy auto salvage yard. You will perform vehicle processing, material handling, and safety-compliant tasks to help customers pull parts and meet environmental requirements.

The role requires outdoor work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a variable schedule including weekends. Prior automotive or dismantling experience is preferred but not required, with comprehensive safety training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, including hazard communications such as waste oil, gasoline, and flammable materials.
• Ability to work required hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in various outdoor weather conditions for the duration of a full shift.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and promote the Pick-n-Pull Safety Culture. Adhere to safety requirements and wear PPE as required.
• Safely remove Freon, power steering fluid, power brake fluid, batteries, excess garbage, and other materials per procedures.
• Position vehicles on wheel stands to provide customers with safe access to saleable parts and prepare for the next set.
• Dismantle engines, transmissions, and harvest core materials while maintaining environmental compliance.
• Assist customers in a courteous manner, prepare Gaylord boxes/pallets for shipment, and complete regulatory logs.
