Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a General Laborer I to join the production team in a safe, efficient manner. You will handle vehicles, extract parts, and ensure environmental compliance while upholding company policies with a professional demeanor.

The role includes physical outdoor work in an auto salvage yard, weekend/holiday availability, and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, and PTO starting with the first check.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions including safety messages and hazard communications.
• Ability to work required hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to work in varied outdoor weather conditions during full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and promote safety culture; wear PPE as required.
• Follow company policies and maintain professional standards.
• Safely remove fluids and materials per procedures.
• Extract fluids and components per procedures.
• Position vehicles for customers to access parts and prepare work area for next vehicle.
• Loosen mounts, remove tires and core items as prescribed.
• Dismantle engines and transmissions; harvest wires and metals.
• Operate tire machine to separate tires and prepare rims for shipment.
• Collect core materials, address safety hazards in the customer area.
• Assist customers courteously; prepare Gaylord boxes and pallets for shipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
