Job description

The Job

Integrated Restoration is hiring a dependable, hands-on general laborer to support carpentry, siding, and exterior restoration projects across Northeast Ohio. You will work alongside experienced carpenters and siding installers performing controlled demolition, material handling, basic installation, job-site protection, and cleanup.

Experience is helpful, but it is not required. We will train the right person who shows up, works safely, takes direction, communicates clearly, and wants to build a skilled trade career.

What You Will Do
  • Load, unload, carry, and stage tools, equipment, siding, lumber, drywall, trim, and other construction materials.
  • Protect customer belongings, floors, walls, landscaping, and unaffected areas before work begins.
  • Complete controlled demolition and remove damaged drywall, insulation, flooring, trim, cabinets, sheathing, siding, and other materials as directed.
  • Assist with basic framing, sheathing, drywall, trim, doors, windows, cabinets, flooring, painting, punch-list, and closeout work.
  • Assist with siding tear-off and installation, including housewrap, insulation, starter, corners, channels, flashing, trim, soffit, and fascia.
  • Measure, cut, fasten, assemble, and install materials under the direction of an experienced carpenter or siding installer.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, pump jacks, scaffolds, and material-handling equipment after training and authorization.
  • Take job photos and record time, progress, material needs, delays, damage, and assigned daily notes in the company's job system.
  • Keep job sites, company vehicles, tools, equipment, and warehouse areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready.
  • Communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and Project Managers, especially when site conditions or the scope of work change.
  • Help with emergency board-ups, weather protection, Mitigation support, warehouse work, and other restoration field duties when carpentry or siding work is not ready.
Schedule and Work Expectations
  • This is a full-time position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Early starts, late finishes, overtime, or occasional weekend work may be required based on weather, project conditions, emergency board-ups, or customer needs.
  • Work is performed at homes and commercial properties throughout Northeast Ohio. Reliable transportation to the office and dependable attendance are required.
  • Exterior work is weather-dependent. Daily assignments may change to keep the crew productive, protect active projects, and move jobs toward completion.
What We Are Looking For
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • No carpentry or siding experience required; experience in construction, roofing, remodeling, demolition, landscaping, maintenance, warehouse work, or another hands-on field is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently when assigned, and contribute to a team.
  • Basic math and tape-measure skills, or the ability to learn them quickly, plus comfort using a smartphone or tablet for photos, timekeeping, messages, and basic job documentation.
  • Professional communication around customers who may be experiencing a stressful property loss.
  • Willingness to complete company-paid safety, equipment, manufacturer, and restoration training as you advance.
Physical and Work Conditions
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds and move heavier or longer materials with team assistance or proper equipment.
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and work from ladders, pump jacks, stages, scaffolds, and other elevated areas for extended periods.
  • Work outdoors in heat, cold, wind, sun, and other changing conditions and in active restoration environments that may be dusty, dirty, wet, or damaged.
  • Wear and properly use required PPE and fall-protection equipment. Applicable training, medical clearance, and fit testing may be required for certain assignments.
  • Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, access equipment, material-handling equipment, and company vehicles after authorization and training.
What Success Looks Like
  • You arrive ready to work, on time, with the correct PPE and a team-first attitude.
  • You complete assigned demolition, carpentry, and siding support carefully, with minimal rework and no avoidable damage.
  • You keep tools, materials, vehicles, warehouse areas, and job sites clean, organized, and accounted for.
  • Photos, time, progress notes, material needs, and issues are documented the same day, and supervisors do not have to chase you for updates.
  • You build carpentry and siding skills, take on more responsibility, and grow toward independent installer work.
What We Offer
  • $19-$25 per hour based on relevant experience and demonstrated skill.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days of eligibility.
  • 401(k) with company match and paid time off.
  • Company vehicles, fuel, tools, access equipment, uniforms, and required PPE for work use.
  • Company-paid safety, equipment, manufacturer, and restoration training based on the position.
  • A clear advancement path from General Laborer to Carpenter or Siding Installer, then Lead Carpenter or Siding Lead, with future Project Manager or Estimator opportunities.
  • A locally owned, 26-year Cleveland restoration company where dependable work and growth are noticed.
