Job summary

COIT Cleaning & Restoration Services is hiring a General Construction Laborer in Bedford Heights, OH. This full-time role offers paid on-the-job training, benefits, and room for growth while you perform a range of labor tasks on restoration projects.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to operate hand and power tools. Competitive starting pay and a supportive team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Must be able to lift 50–70 lbs.
• Must be able to work M-Sun if required.
• Must be able to work after hours if required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by management.
• Support the restoration team on water and fire related jobs.
• Shovel materials to and from construction areas (lumber, carpet, insulation).
• Follow safety procedures and report violations.
• Maintain a safe, clean site and secure tools and equipment daily.
• Load/unload construction supplies from trucks manually or with equipment.
• Report incidents to safety director, foreman, or HR per procedures.
• Utilize company vehicles safely.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, and other tools as directed by management.
• Support the restoration team on water and fire related jobs.
• Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including but not limited to lumber, carpet, and insulation.
• Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
• Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
• Report incidents immediately to the safety director, foreman, or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
• Utilize company vehicles safely.
• Must work well with other team members.
