Job summary

Tier1usa in Houston, TX is hiring for a permanent, full-time manufacturing worker. The role involves entering and exiting tanks via an 18-inch opening, buffing and grinding steel tanks, washing tanks to meet quality standards, and reading blueprints. You’ll collaborate with other operators and follow safety PPE protocols while handling cleaning chemicals.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Ability to stand, bend and kneel for long periods.
  • Experience using common shop tools (grinders, saws, drills, hammers).

Responsibilities

  • Use grinders, saws, drills and hammers to process parts as specified.
  • Read and understand blueprints to ensure correct fabrication.
  • Stand, bend and kneel for extended periods during shifts.
  • Work effectively in a team or individually.
  • Maintain inventory in the work area and perform routine cleanup.

Job Summary

The incumbent will be able to enter and exit tanks through an opening of 18 inches at minimum; buff/grindsteel tanks, washsteel tanks, according to specifications; ensure products meet quality standards. Be able to work in cooperation with other operators and in different areas as assigned.Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Plastic and/or metalworking experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Must be able to use various tools like grinders,saws, drillsand hammers.
  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Must be able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to wash and rinseplasticcontainers thoroughly.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and use appropriate PPE (gloves, glasses, face-shield, overalls etc.)
  • Must be able to work in ambient air temperatures.
  • Must be able to maintain inventory in work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance in work areas; i.e. sweeping, straightening and basic clean up.

  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand directions, procedures and checklists.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete work tasks given in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to work both alone and in groups.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to quality.
