Regs Tank Fab Machine Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: Nacogdoches, TX. Core hours Monday – Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Overtime may be mandatory at times. Compensation: hourly rate $21.00 plus $1.35 shift premium. Salaries based on skills and experience.

What you’ll do:
- Set up, adjust, and operate various welding machines, presses, shears, brakes, flanges and expanders.
- Perform tasks across various work centers including bottom welding (with perforated LVB holes), projection welding (with LVB holes), seam welding (with flanging), layout (with rod stacking), horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth operations, and tank unhang procedures.
- Receive training in safe chemical handling, proper disposal of waste materials, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating instructions.
- Position, hang and remove transformer tanks and associated parts from a powered overhead conveyor line.
- Manually handle medium‑heavy weight materials, and operate hoists and other material‑handling equipment, including powered industrial trucks.
- Monitor and maintain the automatic paint booth; manually apply paint to hard‑to‑reach parts, add paint as needed, conduct titration tests for chemical balance, and verify paint cure and dry‑off oven temperatures.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and follow specified lists (oven pick list, PQP, VOP, IDP, verbal instructions), operate welding equipment (MIG wire feed) and use manual and powered hand tools with simple measuring devices.
- Safely operate overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility.
- Actively participate in problem‑solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Achieve and maintain target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals.
- Adhere to safety protocols, efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures.
- Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Level: No education required.
Years and Area of Experience: Relevant experience preferred.
Technical Knowledge
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required.
- Ability to operate industrial equipment, welding equipment, and hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations.
