Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed is seeking a General Laborer to support warehouse operations in Florida. The role involves operating forklifts, keeping areas clean and organized, sorting/dunnage recycling, and basic facility maintenance during a 6:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday shift with overtime as needed.

Candidates should be safety-minded and prepared to read tape measures, perform light math and use a computer for simple tasks.

Job description

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. The General Laborer is expected to follow all warehouse safety rules and procedures. The scheduled shift is 6:30am – 3:30pm M-F, with over time as needed. Primary duties include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include operating forklifts, maintaining a clean/organized workspace, sorting/organizing/recycling dunnage, light facility maintenance, and various other tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Ability to operate different types of warehouse equipment including forklifts, follow specific directions, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain a good attitude to accomplish results in a team-based environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, carry 55 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The warehouse is not temperature controlled; noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. The facility has heavily congested areas due to high volume of moving trucks and forklifts.
