Job summary

Big Tex Trailer World is seeking a General Laborer for Elmendorf, Texas. The role involves maintaining the outdoor trailer area, unloading freight, assembling trailers, and assisting with service duties to support store sales and maintenance operations.

You will provide customer service, help with trailer hook-ups, and perform safety inspections while keeping the lot clean and organized. Must be able to work Monday–Saturday with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Available to work Monday–Saturday with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trailers and move them around the lot.
• Park and move trailers as needed.
• Wash and prepare trailers for delivery.
• Assist customers with trailer hook-ups and perform visual safety inspections (lights, safety chain, decking).
• Maintain the lot (mowing, weed removal, snow removal, trash pickup, signs/banners).
• Receive and stock trailers, parts, and supplies.
• Support Service Technicians as needed.
• Assist with opening and closing of the store as directed.
• Keep store and support areas clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

The General Laborer is responsible for the organization and presentation of the outdoor trailer and product areas. Maintains the appearance of the lot, unloads, receives freight. Assembles trailers and assists with service and maintenance duties as directed. Provides customer service in support of store sales and service activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble trailers
• Park and move trailers
• Wash and prepare trailers for delivery.
• Help customers hook-up trailers. Perform visual safety inspection (lights, safety chain, decking, etc.)
• Maintain lot including but not limited to mowing, weed removal, snow removal, picking up trash, installing exterior signs, banners, or flags.
• Receive and stock trailers, parts, and supplies.
• Support Service Technicians as needed.
• Support opening and closing of the store as directed.
• Clean and organize store and support areas as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
