Job summary

Big Tex Trailer World in Elmendorf, TX is seeking an experienced General Laborer to organize the outdoor trailer areas, unload freight, and assist with service and maintenance duties. The role focuses on presenting the lot neatly and supporting store sales and service activities.

Responsibilities include assembling and parking trailers, washing trailers for delivery, and helping customers hook up trailers while performing basic safety checks.

Qualifications

• Availability Monday–Saturday with overtime as needed.

SUMMARY

The General Laborer is responsible for the organization and presentation of the outdoor trailer and product areas. Maintains the appearance of the lot, unloads, receives freight. Assembles trailers and assists with service and maintenance duties as directed. Provides customer service in support of store sales and service activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble trailers
• Park and move trailers
• Wash and prepare trailers for delivery.
• Help customers hook-up trailers. Perform visual safety inspection (lights, safety chain, decking, etc.)
• Maintain lot including but not limited to mowing, weed removal, snow removal, picking up trash, installing exterior signs, banners, or flags.
• Receive and stock trailers, parts, and supplies.
• Support Service Technicians as needed.
• Support opening and closing of the store as directed.
• Clean and organize store and support areas as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be available to work Monday – Saturday and overtime as needed
