Job summary

Big Tex Trailer World in Homer Glen, IL is seeking a General Laborer to help organize the outdoor trailer area, unload freight, assemble trailers, and support service and maintenance activities to back store sales and service.

The role involves maintaining the lot, performing basic safety inspections, stocking trailers and parts, and assisting customers with trailer hookups while supporting opening/closing duties and keeping work areas clean.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must be available to work Monday–Saturday and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble trailers.
• Park and move trailers.
• Wash and prepare trailers for delivery.
• Help customers hook-up trailers and perform visual safety inspections (lights, safety chain, decking).
• Maintain lot (mowing, weed removal, snow removal, trash pickup, signs/banners/flags).
• Receive and stock trailers, parts, and supplies.
• Support Service Technicians as needed.
• Support opening and closing of the store.
• Clean and organize store and support areas as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

The General Laborer is responsible for the organization and presentation of the outdoor trailer and product areas. Maintains the appearance of the lot, unloads, receives freight. Assembles trailers and assists with service and maintenance duties as directed. Provides customer service in support of store sales and service activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assemble trailers
• Park and move trailers
• Wash and prepare trailers for delivery.
• Help customers hook-up trailers. Perform visual safety inspection (lights, safety chain, decking, etc.)
• Maintain lot including but not limited to mowing, weed removal, snow removal, picking up trash, installing exterior signs, banners, or flags.
• Receive and stock trailers, parts, and supplies.
• Support Service Technicians as needed.
• Support opening and closing of the store as directed.
• Clean and organize store and support areas as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
