Job summary

Techo-Bloc in Pen Argyl, PA is seeking a dependable General Laborer to support manufacturing operations on the 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM shift Tue-Fri. You will perform quality checks, assist machine operators, and help maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Responsibilities

• Examine finished products for height, shape, color and consistency per company standards.
• Perform block checks, remove defective pieces, and replace with quality pieces on various lines.
• Package finished products neatly with labels and top sheets, QC final skid before transport.

Job Description

Shift:Tues-Fri 530pm-530am

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Complete examination of finished product by checking height, shape, color and consistency by applying knowledge of proper company standards as instructed and applicable for in process systems.
• Complete block checks, remove any defective pieces from pallet or board and replace defective pieces with quality pieces.These tasks vary by line and by product and process that the General Laborer is assigned to.
• Complete packaging, by adding packaging materials, top sheet, labels, and final QC on the skid of finished product before sent to the yard before final transport.
  • All products must be packaged neatly and securely
• Assist Machine operators and many other variable processes IE: pallet repair, general Maintenance helper, Yard general support, completing processes as directed.
• Follow established guideline for policy and procedure to ensure QA Standards are met or exceeded.
• Maintain a clean workstation and assist with plant clean up
• Wear personal protective equipment, and ensures behaviors are Safe.
• Follow companies proper lock out tag out and safety procedures.
• Behaves in accordance with Techo-Bloc Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence.
• Be able to write simple correspondence and/or memos.
• Be able to work collaboratively communicating actual shop floor issues etc.
• Be able to perform each essential duty to company standards.
• Have the knowledge, skill, and/or ability to operate machinery, not Machine Operators.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
• Be able to reason and apply common sense.
• Be able to handle problems and situations effectively.
• Be punctual; being on time for your scheduled shifts
• Be able to work individually and in a team environment

Education and Experience:
