Job summary

Techo-Bloc in Lehigh Valley, PA, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running safely and reliably. The role focuses on mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, and contributing to plant reliability.

You will troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and VFD drives, perform welding and fabrication (MIG & stick), install new equipment, and document preventative maintenance. This is a role with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in Electromechanics or industrial maintenance.
• Proficient with power tools and measurement devices.
• Experience with stick and MIG welding.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams.
• Capable of working with 480v/120v/24v systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components.
• Diagnose hydraulic systems and build hydraulic hoses.
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs (MIG & stick).
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and meters.
• Install and align new equipment with hoists and precision tools.

We’re hiring experienced Maintenance Technicians for our Douglassville, PA plant and are offering a travel stipend to eligible employees who commute from the Lehigh Valley area.

The Role: Maintenance Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician who’s strong in mechanical repair and electrical troubleshooting. You’ll keep production equipment running safely and efficiently while helping improve reliability across the plant.

What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Work)

• Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components (motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, chains, belts, pulleys, rollers, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems (cylinders, valves, solenoids, pumps) and build hydraulic hoses as needed
• Perform welding and fabrication repairs (MIG & stick) in various positions
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, multimeter, and megger
• Install and align new equipment using hoists, jacks, and precision tools
• Troubleshoot and support VFD drives (SEW, Siemens, Lenze, Allen Bradley)
• Test equipment, identify needed parts, complete repairs, and document preventative maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety procedures
• Work at heights and use equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and scissor lifts as needed

Required Skills/Abilities

• 2 + years’ experience working in Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance or relevant field.
• Proficient with use of power tools, measuring devices, lathe and/or milling machinery
• Previous experience using bearing heaters, interference fits, and/or removing gear boxes or seized bearings/shafts
• Previous experience with stick and MIG welding.
• Will need to fabricate projects as well as make welding repairs
• Proficient Electrical skills
• Proficient in troubleshooting electrical components; IOs, OLs, contactors, relays, break resisters and various other electrical components
• Read and comprehend schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with 480vAC, 120vAC, 24vDC, and 4-20mA systems
• Able to use multi-meter, megger, and other test equipment
• Maintain, install, troubleshoot VFDs, programmable sensors, SCADA, HMI, and PLCs.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes
• Collaborative; Works in the spirit of partnership.

Education and Experience

• Electrical certificates or equivalent experience (preferred)
