Job summary

Techo-Bloc is seeking a General Laborer for our Waterloo, IN facility. You will support daily production, inspect finished products, and help maintain high quality standards across processes. The role involves working with machine operators, performing quality checks, and assisting with packaging and yard tasks.

The position offers a consistent day shift, Monday through Friday, with hours from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Fridays 6:00 AM-2:30 PM). Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Able to read basic instructions and communicate clearly.
• Reliable and on time for scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished product for height, shape, color, and consistency.
• Perform quality checks and remove defective pieces as needed.
• Rework/replace blocks to ensure every pallet is customer-ready.
• Package finished product with materials, top sheet, labels, and final QA.
• Keep products packaged neatly, safely, and securely.
• Assist with production support tasks (pallet repairs, maintenance, yard support).
• Maintain a clean work area and follow PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.

Job Description

Pay: $19.83/hr

• Day Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday Days
  • Monday-Thursday: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM and Friday: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Location: Waterloo, IN

What You'll Do

As a General Laborer, you'll support daily production and help ensure every product meets Techo-Bloc's high quality standards. You'll work alongside machine operators and assist with key processes such as:

• Inspect finished product for height, shape, color, and consistency
• Perform quality checks and remove defective pieces as needed
• Rework/replace blocks to ensure every pallet is customer-ready
• Package finished product by adding:
  • packaging materials
  • top sheet
  • labels
  • final quality check before going to the yard
• Keep all products packaged neatly, safely, and securely
• Assist with production support tasks such as:
  • pallet repair
  • general maintenance support
  • yard support
  • other assigned tasks to keep production moving
• Maintain a clean work area and support plant clean-up
• Follow all safety practices including PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures
