Job Description

Operates a variety of cleaning equipment such as hand shot blaster, belt sander, dip tank, washer, and portable wash tanks, or assembles components.

APPENDIX I:

Assembler:

Performs sub-assembly and final assembly of various products from their component parts.

Hand Shot Blaster:

Places parts in the machine, holds the nozzle with one hand and the part with the other, and aims the spray until the part is free of foreign matter. Removes, weighs, counts, or stacks parts as applicable. Inspects parts for defects such as cracks, burrs, or broken bolts.

Dip Tank:

Retrieves parts, places them into a basket, and activates the auto cycle in the dip tank. After cycling, removes parts and inspects for defects.

Washer:

Places parts in the washer, removes moisture with compressed air, stacks, and color codes parts for identification. Checks chemical levels regularly and inspects parts for defects.

Portable Wash Tank:

Places parts into the wash tank, cleans with a brush, and inspects for defects.
