Job Description

The general laborer is responsible for performing facility cleaning and maintenance and material processing line work in a safe and efficient manner

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.
• Respond to work orders for cleaning/painting, minor repairs
• Pressure washing floors in wastewater treatment section of plant and using vacuum drum to clean up washwater from sumps
• Perform minor preventative and other maintenance on equipment.
• Clean facility grounds and equipment as scheduled or necessary.
• Paint and decal above ground storage tanks on annual timeline or as needed

This position requires the ability to work overtime and various shifts which may include occassional weekends.

• Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and follow safety policies and procedures

Physical and Mental Demands

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job responsibilities including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, carrying, and extended periods of standing.
• May be exposed to extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, precipitation, wind, etc.) and to dust, and noise.
• May be exposed to significant truck and heavy equipment traffic.
• Ability to sit, and/or stand for 100% of an 8-hour day.
• Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers.
• Ability to manage several tasks at once to meet deadlines.
• Ability to follow direction or instruction.
