Job summary

BRANDENBURG INDUSTRIAL SVC CO is seeking a General Laborer to work across multiple states. The role involves operating power tools, performing demolition tasks, and following strict safety and hygiene protocols.

The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or equivalent and about 1 year of field-based construction or demolition experience. Ability to move materials, work in varying weather, and maintain organization is essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year field-based construction/demolition experience preferred.
• Good communication and ability to follow directions to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools including oxy-fuel torch, breaker, drill and demolition saw.
• Ensure hygiene and safety practices, including lead exposure and dust prevention.
• Sort and segregate material types for processing or disposal.
• Move materials by carrying, shoveling, pushing or throwing as needed.
• Perform safety-sensitive tasks as required by Brandenburg's policies.
• Handle hazardous materials with appropriate procedures.
• Work effectively in various weather conditions.
• Wear full-body PPE and perform strenuous tasks as required.
• Move on varied terrains; climb stairs and ladders when needed.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements

• Ability to use power tools including oxy-fuel torch, breaker, drill & demolition saw
• Ability to understand hygiene principles including lead intoxication, asbestosis & silicosis prevention
• Ability to segregate various types of material
• Ability to move materials by carrying, shoveling, pushing or throwing
• Perform safety sensitive tasks
• Ability to work with hazardous materials
• Ability to work productively in various weather conditions
• Ability to perform strenuous work in full body personal protective equipment throughout work shift
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces, occasionally climbing stairs and ladders
• Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies
• Regular and Predictable Performance

Education / Experience

Candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent; 1 Year experience of field based work. Experience in Construction / Demolition industry preferred. Candidates must also have the ability to complete assigned tasks, work independently to attain deadlines and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
