Job summary

BRANDENBURG INDUSTRIAL SVC CO is seeking a General Laborer to support construction and demolition tasks across multiple states. The role requires operating power tools, adhering to safety and hygiene standards, and handling varied materials.

Expect physical work with PPE and exposure to the elements, in a fast-paced setting. Candidates should have a HS diploma and at least one year of field-based experience; construction experience is preferred and good verbal/written communication is essential

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required; 1 year field-based experience preferred.
• Construction/Demolition industry experience preferred.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines with strong communication skills.
• Strong safety and hygiene awareness related to lead, asbestos, and silicosis.
• Basic heavy equipment operating skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools such as oxy-fuel torch, breaker, drill and demolition saw as needed.
• Follow hygiene principles and prevent exposure to lead, asbestos and silicosis.
• Segregate various material types and move materials by carrying, shoveling, pushing or throwing.
• Perform safety sensitive tasks and handle hazardous materials.
• Work productively in varying weather conditions and wear full PPE.
• Walk on uneven surfaces, occasionally climb stairs and ladders.
• Adhere to Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies.
• Maintain regular and predictable performance.
• Demonstrate good organization and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Duties/Responsibilities/Physical Requirements

• Ability to use power tools including oxy-fuel torch, breaker, drill & demolition saw
• Ability to understand hygiene principles including lead intoxication, asbestosis & silicosis prevention
• Ability to segregate various types of material
• Ability to move materials by carrying, shoveling, pushing or throwing
• Perform safety sensitive tasks
• Ability to work with hazardous materials
• Ability to work productively in various weather conditions
• Ability to perform strenuous work in full body personal protective equipment throughout work shift
• Agility to walk and work on uneven surfaces, occasionally climbing stairs and ladders
• Perform all work in accordance with Brandenburg's environmental and safety policies

Education / Experience

Candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent; 1 Year experience of field based work. Experience in Construction / Demolition industry preferred. Candidates must also have the ability to complete assigned tasks, work independently to attain deadlines and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
