Role Description

Holcim US is seeking a General Laborer to support operations at the Ready Mix Quarry in Bladensburg, MD. Responsibilities include maintaining grounds, operating equipment, light maintenance, and traveling up to 50% across various plant locations in Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties. The role involves pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment such as rubber tire loaders, excavators, and bobcats.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transport materials and load trucks with earth, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete.
2. Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and tools.
3. Diagnose issues and perform preventive maintenance.
4. Clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
5. Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections.
6. Participate in safety, environmental, compliance, and team meetings.
7. Follow all safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with heavy/light equipment operation preferred.
• 6 months to 1 year related work experience.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong safety orientation.
• Availability for second shift (10:00 pm - 7:00 am) and occasional Saturdays.
