ABOUT THE ROLE

Holcim US, a top supplier of construction materials in the US, seeks General Laborers to support operations at the Ready Mix Quarry in Bladensburg, MD. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, equipment operation (sweeping, shoveling), light maintenance (cleaning, lubricating), and travel up to 50% across Prince George's and Anne Arundel Counties. The role also involves pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment like rubber tire loaders, excavators, or bobcats.

What You'll Be Doing

• Transport materials and load trucks with earth, aggregates, asphalt, concrete, etc.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery and tools.
• Diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and efficiency of equipment.
• Clean tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating.
• Record daily inspections of equipment.
• Participate in safety, environmental, compliance, HR, and plant meetings.
• Follow environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Heavy/light equipment operating experience (preferred).
• 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong safety orientation.
• Availability for second shift, typically between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
• Work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.
