Job summary

Austin Wood Recycling seeks a General Laborer in Hutto, TX to join the production and grinding teams. This role focuses on general clean-up, safe operation of equipment, and daily site maintenance. You will work under supervision to ensure efficient, safe, and timely completion of tasks.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 70 lbs, work weekends, and pass a drug screen. Outdoor work and travel to multiple sites are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to work +/- 60 hours per week including Saturdays.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must lift up to 70lbs frequently.
• Work outdoors in heat, cold, dust and noise.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Travel to different job locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general clean-up duties in yard production areas.
• Safely operate equipment such as skid steers, tractors, mowers, and weed-eaters.
• Conduct basic equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.

This position reports to the Construction Services Supervisor or Manager. General Laborers are assigned to “general clean-up” duties within the production and grinding operations.We expect general laborers to perform general clean-up tasks in a safe and professional manner and to maintain a professional demeaner when engaging with customers and coworkers. A successful candidate for this position will ensure that work is completed safely, on schedule and as directed.
