Job summary

Werner Construction, Inc. is seeking entry-level general laborers for road construction activities throughout Nebraska. Responsibilities include raking and shoveling asphalt, operating tools, and maintaining safety protocols on job sites.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. Applicants must be able to work outdoors and lift up to 50 pounds. This temporary position includes overtime opportunities and the company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Job Description

POSITIONS AVAILABLE THROUGHOUT NEBRASKA

General labor activities related to road construction.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Raking and shoveling asphalt mixture during paving operations
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Operating unloading mechanism on truck trailers
• Perform traffic control and flagging activities as needed
• Follows safety rules and regulations on all job sites
• Occasionally placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices
• Maintain a clean job site
• Potentially operate a skid steer loader (upon proper training)

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work outdoors with possible exposure to inclement weather
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
• Experience is not necessary
• Werner Construction will provide all necessary Training
