Job summary

Werner Construction, Inc. in Hastings, Nebraska is seeking a concrete finisher responsible for form setting and concrete finishing on paving projects. You will rake and shovel concrete, operate hand and power tools, and assist with traffic control and site safety.

No prior experience is required as training is provided; a valid driver's license is necessary to join our team. This full-time role offers health benefits and paid time off, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors with possible exposure to inclement weather.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Experience is not necessary.
• Werner Construction will provide all necessary training.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Raking and shoveling concrete mixture during paving operations
• Conduct concrete finishing duties using manual and power troweling
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Operating unloading mechanism on truck trailers
• Perform traffic control and flagging activities as needed
• Follows safety rules and regulations on all job sites
• Occasionally placing signs, barricades, traffic cones and other warning devices
• Maintain a clean job site
• Potentially operate a skid steer loader (upon proper training)
