Domtar is seeking a General Labor/Production Associate for its West Carrollton, OH facility. This full-time, permanent role includes a rotating 8-hour Southern swing shift (3rd, 2nd, 1st) and entry-level production responsibilities across departments based on need.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18+, and be willing to work weekends/holidays. Forklift experience and basic math/computer skills are preferred. A competitive benefits package is provided.

The location in West Carrollton, (Ohio, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of General Labor/Production Associate. This job is full-time permanent.

Entry level production positions available. Individuals in these positions may be assigned to various departments based on operational needs. These assignments follow a rotating 8 hour Southern swing shift schedule, meaning you will work 3rd, 2nd, and 1st shift on a rotating basis. Candidates for these positions will need to:

• Understand the importance of always working safely
• Be driven to achieve and advance
• Work swing shifts (includes all shifts, most weekends and holidays)
• Be availableas neededfor overtime
• Have mechanical, numerical and verbal aptitude to learn quickly
• Must have forklift experience
• Workwell both as an individualand as part of a team

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

What we are looking for

• Previous manufacturing, forklift experience and prior shift work experience is preferred
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be ableto work 8, 10, or 12 hours shifts including weekends and Holidays
• Basic math, reading comprehension, writing, mechanical aptitude and computer skills are a must

The starting hourly rate is $20.00/hour with eligibility for shift differential. After 120 days, payrate goes to $26.92/hour or $27.95/hour depending upon the job you're qualified for. Holiday hours worked are paid at double-time, and shift differential is paid on 2nd and 3rd shifts. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, prescription, life insurance, paid holidays and an opportunity to participate in the 401(k) and retirement saving plans. One week vacation after 6 months; 2 weeks of vacation after 1 year.

You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
