Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a general labor candidate to safely handle products, verify materials meet customer requirements, and support production lines. You will move, label, tag, bundle, and store materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and a tidy workspace.

The role emphasizes strict adherence to instructions, basic math accuracy, and willingness to participate in safety and continuous improvement programs. 18+ age and potential for on-site shifts are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience is required, but manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Moves and secures products and other materials according to instructions.
• Stacks finished products according to predetermined bundle sizes and/or customer requirements.
• Labels material based on type, size, and count.
• Applies individual tags to material before/after production.
• Uses a staple gun and troubleshoots equipment.
• Binds, bundles and secures material, including corner protectors and loading sticks.
• Follows stacking instructions per policy and customer requirements.
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped and labeled before leaving the work area.
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Records production on production sheets.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts.
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Bands, bundles and secures material, including attaching corner protectors and loading sticks
• Follows instructions for stacking material properly and according to company policy and customer requirements
• Ensures correct quantities and material are strapped, and labeled before leaving the work area
• Maintains accurate inventory of tags and reports any problems or discrepancies to supervisor
• Records production on production sheets
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
• Assists with other work areas by moving material, loading and unloading material carts
• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required
